Celebrating Motherhood, Celebrating Ourselves

December 12, 20253 min read

After every Motherhood Event, I need a little time to integrate what happened.

To feel into it.

To understand what moved through us collectively.

And this November gathering was no different.

The group that came together was breathtaking. It felt like a true celebration of motherhood in all its forms.

There were mamas with beautifully rounding pregnant bellies, women with tiny bumps just beginning to show, mothers with babies curled against their chests, mothers pumping milk and mothers who carved out an afternoon just for themselves. Being in that space with you, in all your stages and all your stories, was heart-melting and heart-expanding.

It’s impossible to choose one favourite moment from something so full of beauty.

I loved how Timea held us in her sound healing.

I loved the nourishing, gorgeous food Lou created for us.

I loved holding space during the yoga practice and witnessing the way your desires lit up your faces when you gave yourselves permission to feel them.

But the moment that stayed with me most was when each of you named something you are proud of on your motherhood journey during Jenny’s circle.

Big or small.

The honesty, the vulnerability, the quiet power in your words… it moved me deeply.

This is what this work is about: seeing ourselves.

Celebrating ourselves.

Honoring the millions of invisible things we do every single day.

Motherhood is an ocean of invisible labor. Society often treats paid work as more valuable, but the truth is this:

As mothers, we are shaping the future.

We are dreaming it into being with every nappy changed, every lunchbox prepared, every meltdown held, every bedtime completed, every moment of tending to our own healing and our children’s unfolding.

And December is the month of celebration.

So my invitation for you is simple:

Celebrate yourself.

Celebrate every tiny thing you do.

Celebrate the days that flow and the days that fall apart.

Celebrate your confusion, your softness, your fierceness, your exhaustion, your love.

Everything you feel is proof that you care deeply. Proof that your heart is wide open. Proof that you are living this motherhood journey with intention and presence, even when it’s hard.

I celebrate you for everything you brought into our circle.

I celebrate you for showing up, for giving yourself the gift of time, for being brave enough to be seen.

And if you couldn’t join us this time, I celebrate you too, for walking this path every day.

Here’s what I know:

Invisible labor becomes visible the moment you start seeing yourself.

Once something is seen, it cannot be unseen.

And the people around you will feel that shift.

This is how the ripple begins.

A gentle challenge for the coming days

Start making mental notes of the invisible things you do and celebrate yourself for it!

Choose what works for you. A silent well-done, a ‘yes yes yes yes I did it’, embracing yourself in a hug or putting on your favorite music for a mini dance party.

If you want support with this, or if questions come up, feel free to email us at [email protected]. I love hearing from you.

Wishing you a soft, nourishing, celebratory December.
